June 6, 2016: It’s Monday, What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme currently hosted by The Book Date. It’s a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week, and add to that ever-growing TBR stack.

I am going to stop saying “I can’t believe it’s _______ (insert month) already! Where did the time go?” because this is a thing that happens every month and I’m basically in a constant state of overwhelmed at the moment. I will be posting my May recap/wrap-up post later today, but I quickly wanted to get this post out before it got buried under my most giant of all giant to-do lists.

Let’s see. The last 10 days have kinda been terrible for reading, mostly because I barely read anything. However, I did finish Rainbow Rowell’s Carry On, which was such a delight to read, and I now need to go back and read Fangirl at some point. I’m still trying to get my life in order (I need to essentially Kondo every aspect of my life at the moment), but this is what I have going on in terms of books:

Pretty stoked about all of these. Annnnd that’s all the time I have right now, but now that last week is over I will definitely be more active on all of the social media platforms to talk and squee about all of the books!

  1. Yay for Carry On! Oh, I hope you get a chance to post about it sometime soon, cause I’d looove to hear your longer thoughts on it. I have many thoughts. DID YOU LIKE AGATHA is my main question every time someone reads this book.

Tyranny of Petticoats is on my nightstand as well, and I’m excited for it. I read the first story in the book and enjoyed it a lot!

  2. I loved Carry On so much; it’s become one of my absolute favorite YA novels. Fangirl is good too but it’s a very quiet, cozy type of read; it’s definitely not fast-paced. Not that that’s a bad thing!

  3. I’ve heard such mixed things about Carry On, I’ve been putting it off because I don’t want to be disappointed. I LOVED Fangirl though, so maybe I should finally give it a chance.
